ALIT (Assistant Leader-In-Training)

MS and/or HS girls participate in a one year training course which teaches them to lead girls, teach Bible Studies and comfortably speak about their faith.

AL (Assistant Leader)

After graduating from a year as an ALIT, girls can continue their leadership training as assistant group leaders. Girls may lead as Bible or Badge leaders. As they gain experience, they will lead  small groups, with an adult as a mentor.

Badges

Our Club is structured into five units per year. At the end of each unit, girls will earn a Bible Badge and Activity Badge. Girls must attend half of the unit to earn the activity badge and also be able to recite the Bible verse for that unit.

Pioneer Girl History

Pioneer Girls Club began in 1939 in Illinois and was called the Girls Guild. This program was the sister program of the all-boy Christian Service Brigade. The Club was Christian-centered and eventually changed names in 1941 to Pioneer Girls. Ranks, badges and program age levels changed throughout the decades.

In 1980, Pioneer Girls, Inc. changed names to Pioneer Ministries. A boys program was added. Today, Pioneer Girls is part of Pioneer Clubs, which is co-ed. The club program can be modified for each church based upon their needs. At Christ Covenant Church, we have Pioneer Girls (girls) and Trail Life (boys) ministries.
